In the first post of the year I’d like to wish all visitors and contributors of Introducing Léa Seydoux a very happy new year!

“If you see me in real life,” she says, her English made alluring by a smoky French accent, “I’m not as beautiful as a model.” Which is ridiculous but also a little sweet, when you realize it comes not from false humility but overwhelming timidity.

The newest issue of Oyster Magazine has Léa on the cover and some really cool pictures for the editorial inside. You can read a very cute interview on their site in which she talks about how she wanted to be a baker when she was little, the directors she’s worked with, Tom Cruise and also about the newest project she stars in: a passionate love story directed by Abdellatif Kechiche.

What is the worst part of your job?
The worst part is managing my own image.

How so?
You know, I don’t feel like… Most of the actresses are like, [puts on airy, smooth voice] “Hi, hello, OK, mm-hmm, uh-huh, yeah.” I am not like that; it’s terrible. They seem like, when they do promotion, that they are in… They are like a character. They act different, and I can’t really be like that. I’m always natural, I think.

With the launch of the new perfume Prada “Candy” and its campaign, it only makes sense that Léa is featured in some magazines and especially in Italy. She’s on the cover of “TuStyle” with a beautiful picture taken in Cannes 2010 (such a beautiful shot, it’s hard to believe it’s a candid picture) and also a two page feature in Vanity Fair.
